Chaos awaits...
Expect the DOW to bounce like a big rubber ball in January.
It should land with a kersplat sometime in March, as it hits rock-bottom.
All the real economic numbers will be coming out early in the year,
because no one wants you to know them now!
Expect massive layoffs everywhere after Christmas.
Employers need to cut costs, and most of them like to wait until
the (usually) profitable holiday season is over.
Alt-A resets are to be expected in summer 2009.
But this should not be a problem with interest rates so low.
The problem for 2009 will be all the layoffs, causing what would
otherwise be good mortgages to go bad. This will be known
as "round two" of the mortgage/banking crisis.
The good economic news however, is gas prices are still low.
There's also the 30year fixed mortgage rate going down, which
should also provide a little help. Neither of these, however,
is enough to pull us out of the mess we're in.
In the Middle East, it's looking like Iran won't be attacked until after the new year.
Make no mistake about it though, Iran will be toasted.
Not good.
Pakistan is being set up as an enemy again.
The war machine needs more terrorists to fight.
Can control the populace with fear if there is none.
Sigh... whatchya gonna do?
Me, personally, I've *VOID* your mortgage and let the banks collapse.
I would institute a new monetary system which eliminates the FED and
the TREASURY. Well, not new. It's been done successfully many times.
Still many countries using it too. It just doesn't lend itself to greed, corruption,
and massive illegal profits. That's why we don't have it.
I would get the hell out of Iraq and Afghanistan.
There is no point in being there other than war-machine profits.
And, since I don't believe genocide is justifiable in the name of profit,
well, it would be time to get out.
I would, if you gave me the chance, file corruption, genocide, and oodles
of other charges against so many government officials it would make your
head spin. All the current top dogs would be behind bars for life.
Supreme Court included! It is TREASON to ignore the Constitution.
OK... back to the holidays now...
